Antônio Prado (RS) wins UN Tourism seal and becomes a world reference The charming village of Antônio Prado, in Serra Gaúcha, has just gained global prominence by being recognized by UN Tourism as one of the 52 Best Tourist Villages in the World in 2025. ️ Founded by Italian immigrants, the city preserves an impressive historical heritage: around 48 buildings listed by IPHAN, representing the largest architectural collection of Italian immigration in Brazil. The recognition also celebrates sustainability efforts: Antônio Prado invests in the protection of the Atlantic Forest, basic sanitation, solar energy and social inclusion in rural areas. In addition to architectural beauty, Italian culture pulses through events such as the National Pasta Festival (FenaMassa), Italian Night and “Vino in Piazza”, which attract visitors passionate about history, gastronomy and tradition. According to local authorities, this UN Tourism seal reflects “a collective work, built with planning, commitment and love for history”, an example of how preserving the past can boost the future. — follow
