Brazil offers a special form of naturalization for those who have provided relevant services to the Brazilian State abroad. This modality can also be granted to anyone who has lived in a marriage or stable union for more than five years with a member of the Brazilian Foreign Service or with a person officially designated to work outside the country on behalf of the Brazilian government. It also applies to those who have worked for more than ten uninterrupted years in a diplomatic mission or consular office in Brazil.
