Companies and individuals in Brazil can hire foreigners through a formal employment contract, the worker will need a visa or work residence permit for this purpose. To do this, it is necessary to prove the candidate's professional qualifications and/or experience, present an employment contract in accordance with legal requirements, in addition to other documents involved. The authorities analyze whether the worker's profile is compatible with the role offered. This procedure applies to different sectors and also includes internal transfers within the same business group. Initial residence is granted for up to two years, with the possibility of transforming it into residence for an indefinite (permanent) period, and must follow the rules of Brazilian labor legislation.
