The Japanese immigration service has announced a new visa, the digital nomad visa. This is great news for those who work remotely and want to visit and live in Japan. Previously, digital nomads used tourist visas, which limited their stay in Japan to 90 days and did not grant residence permits. With the new visa, digital nomads will be able to stay for up to 6 months and will still be able to apply to take family members. This is general information only.
